Showcasing your work shouldn’t be hard, but like many of you, we constantly find ourselves uploading our projects, media, and portfolio to many different sites, often leaving our personal websites in the dust. We built Portfolio to solve this problem—showcasing your work is effortless and beautiful.Did you know that every user on Kannu has free access to Portfolio through their account? Students can build unlimited projects for semester-end reviews, job applications, or just to share their work with their classmates. And today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve added a ton of new features:
New Project View
We’ve revamped the look and feel of the project viewer to make your work shine. It reduces distraction while still providing all the meta information about your work, like dates, descriptions, and anything else you provide.
More Customization
Your profile is where your Portfolio lives, so we’ve upgraded that too. Customize its look and feel by uploading a header image that feels like you.
Privacy Controls
You can set each individual project to be visible only to you, so you can keep things in a draft state, or use the Portfolio as a storage tool. When it’s ready to go, let anyone (public) see it, or restrict it to logged-in Kannu users only.Tablet view of the Portfolio in action
You can optionally enable commenting on your projects, so you can bring in collaborators and peers to get feedback on your work or process. You’ll have control over this as well!
Linking and Embedding
If your work is spread out across a bunch of places, we’ll help you out. You can now embed material from external sites like Youtube, Vimeo, and SoundCloud, or include a straight-up link to another website.
